POLICIES
ait training
AIT BASICS: To attend the AIT Basics training you must have a master’s degree or higher in a helping profession such as social work, counseling, family therapy, clinical psychology, psychiatry, medicine or similar fields, or the equivalent in your country of practice. The AITI certificate is globally recognized for all trainings. Students can retake Basics at a reduced price. While a Basics certificate allows you to use AIT with clients, it does not certify you as an AIT practitioner. Completion of Basics is a prerequisite for the next introductory seminar, Mastering AIT Practice (MAP).
MAP: Successful completion of Basics is required to attend Mastering AIT Practice.
ADVANCED AIT TRAINING: After completing Basics and MAP you are eligible to take any advanced AIT training. We recommend considering the Presence & Dissociation training next.
cancellation & Refund Policies
Cancellations 14+ Days Before the Training - Full refund minus bank fees
Cancellations 13 Days or Less - 50% refund minus bank fees
Day of Cancellation/No Show - 30% refund minus bank fees
All cancelations must be made in writing and sent by email to lisa@lisabowker.com. Failure to inform in writing and not attending the class will result in no refund. No refunds are available if the student leaves the seminar after the first day. Refunds will be processed upon receipt or after training concludes, depending on the program date and timing of the cancellation. Refunds may take up to 5-7 business days to process. If Lisa Bowker cancels a training, she will offer a full refund minus bank fees. If a seminar is rescheduled, students will receive a credit for the new date. If unable to attend the new date a full refund minus bank fees will be provided.
attendance
Students must attend all days of the training including lectures and practice sessions. If a student needs to miss any class time they must inform their teacher, Lisa Bowker, via email at lisa@lisabowker.com. Missed lectures or practice time must be made up outside of class to receive the AIT certificate of completion. The cost for make-up sessions is not included in the training price. If one or more days of training are missed, the student will need to retake the training. Once your AIT teacher certifies your successful completion of an AIT training, the student will receive a certificate of completion from the Advanced Integrative Therapy Institute (AITI). If AITI determines that a participant must be removed from the training for inappropriate conduct, no refund will be provided.
how to become a certified ait practitioner
Students must successfully complete the Basics and MAP seminars. Students must present two Basics case presentations and two MAP case presentations with a certified AIT supervisor in individual and/or group supervision. Students can find a list of certified AIT supervisors on the AITI website. Lisa Bowker is a certified AIT supervisor and is available to provide individual or group certification sessions. After completing all certification requirements, the student must pay an annual fee directly to AITI at ait.institute. The current annual fee is $75 USD for students residing in the US, Canada and Europe and $45 USD for students residing in Latin America. Benefits of AIT certification include having a profile in the AITI online Practitioner Directory and receiving referrals from other AIT providers. AITI will revoke AIT Practitioner Certification if an AIT practitioner disregards AITI policies. You can review all of AITI Policies at ait.insitute.
